Carlos del Cerro and Lucía Morales, two of the fifteen new ComFuturo researchers who will start their contracts from April 1st, 2023, had the opportunity to talk to 20minutos about their scientific career and about the scientific projects they are going to develop within the framework of the program. Both, one focused on the production of a new, stronger and more tenacious stainless steel and the other on the generation of bioplastics from plant waste, will lead to important industrial applications generated through sustainable production processes.

ComFuturo is an initiative of Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC) which, in alliance with the CSIC and leading private entities in the country, seeks to attract the best young research talent so that they can develop projects of scope and social impact in Spain.
The current third edition of ComFuturo is part of the Cofund program of the Acciones Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) of the European Commission and is supported by Fundación Banco Santander, Acerinox, Fundación Cepsa, Agbar, Fundación Domingo Martínez, Lilly and Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT).
