Fundación General CSIC (FGCSIC), with the support of Banco Santander, is launching two new editions of the Course on Good Scientific Practices. The first, corresponding to the 12th edition, will take place in September and October 2022, while the second (13th edition) will be held between November and December. This training is goal at young scientists (PhD students) who are entering a research career, with the aim of providing them with a set of knowledge on good scientific practices that will lead to the ethical and responsible development of their research.
This training activity is an integral component of the preparation and professional development of young scientists. Through it, FGCSIC shows its commitment to the implementation and consolidation of a culture of scientific integrity and responsible research, in CSIC in particular and in Spanish science in general.
Both courses will continue to be developed through a synchronous online methodology which will be spread over 5 consecutive weeks and structured in 11 didactic modules of 30 hours (except for weeks 3 and 4 of the 13th edition due to the holidays of 6th and 8th December). Three sessions will be held in each of these weeks, from 16:00 to 18:30. The presentation of the 12th edition will take on September 16th and the presentation of the 13th edition on November 11th.
Training in good scientific practice is essential and is encouraged in the most scientifically advanced countries. For this reason, Fundación General CSIC is renewing its commitment to organizing two new editions of this training activity, which began in 2018.
