The Fundación General CSIC recently took part in the «Green Cars 2011: proyectos en marcha» [projects in progress] seminar with the presentation in the Posters section of its Report on R&D into energy for the automotive industry prepared by the FGCSIC Analysis Unit.

Green Cars 2011243 people were registered for this edition of the seminar, of whom 180 attended in person. 47 percent of registrations were from companies. There were also 30 expressions of interest, from which 18 posters were selected.

The event highlighted the idea of eco- and electro-mobility as an opportunity to create jobs, although the field is highly competitive, and stressed the need to bear in mind the needs and points of view of researchers, industry and government. It also emphasised the value of enabling collaboration, technology transfer and exploiting synergies.

The objective of the seminar, held on 5 October in Valladolid, was to demonstrate activities in the clean technologies and sustainable mobility areas and, in particular, activities taking place under the European «Green Cars» Initiative, making it a forum and meeting place for all Spain’s technology players involved in projects at European, national and regional level.
