The initiative shows the results obtained by the ten R&amp;D&amp;I projects contracted by the FGCSIC in 2020, within the framework of the European project &#8220;Programme for a Long-Lived Society (PSL)&#8221;, aimed at developing innovative solutions to improve the elderly\u2019s quality of life.<\/p>\n<p>The ten videos that conform the series highlight a great diversity of intervention areas, as well as the high applicability of the projects developed. Their leaders show different developments of technological innovations to promote active ageing, such as the use of virtual reality experiences, intelligent virtual assistants, applications for reminiscence therapies or intelligent monitoring of the state of health through the WiFi network. Two of the projects are based on the identification of biomarkers that help in the early detection of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and unwanted loneliness, while another, of a pre-clinical experimental nature, is looking for molecules to prevent or treat hearing loss. The series is completed with two initiatives focused on the promotion of specific physical activity programmes for the elderly population and the development of a pilot model aimed at activating collaboration networks to favour the linking of people in a state of fragility with their environment.<\/p>\n<p><em>Towards a Healthy Longevity<\/em> is part of the project &#8220;Programme for a Long-Lived Society (PSL)&#8221;, which belongs to the INTERREG V-A Spain &#8211; Portugal Programme (POCTEP) 2014-2020, of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
